To support interested parties to familiarize with the scientific and technological achievements in the intellectual property field, namely, patents, to acquire state of the art preliminary assessment procedures prior to preparing a patent application and to better plan drafting and filing a patent application with the patent office, the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti has developed a study course, which is offered free of charge to representatives of universities and scientific-research institutions.
The course, delivered for the second time on May 20-23, 2019, at the Intellectual Property Training Centre, functioning at Sakpatenti, was attended by representatives of I.Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, David Tvildiani State Medical University, Caucasus University, Tbilisi State Conservatoire and R.Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry. During four days course the participants received the basic knowledge on the importance of patent information, main search systems and search techniques. The course is led by trainers (tutors) of the IP Training Centre of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti. After completion of the course the participants will be handed over relevant certificates.
