Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, within the 64th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), met with Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of WIPO.
Within the 64th session of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) General Assembly, representatives of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) held a meeting in Geneva with the Heads of Intellectual Property Offices of the Eastern Partnership countries. The meeting was attended by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, and Ms. Nino Chikovani, Deputy Chairperson.
Within the 64th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, met in Geneva with Mr. Massimo Vittori, Managing Director of the Global Alliance of Geographical Indications (origin).
Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, within the 64th session of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), met with Mr. Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the delegation of the People’s Republic of China.
Within the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Sakpatenti Chairman, and Ms. Nino Chikovani, Deputy Chairperson, held a meeting with Ms. Jomarie Fredericks, President of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and Mr. Etienne Sanz de Acedo, Chief Executive Officer of INTA.
The delegation of Georgia, headed by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center, is attending the sessions of the 64th session of the WIPO General Assembly.
The International Summer Law School 2023 of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) is over. During 5 days, 11 students of the Faculties of Law of leading universities of 7 countries passed at Sakpatenti Training Center a specialized program, which covers study of various issues related to the intellectual property system. The Summer Law School in Georgia, organized under the aegis of ELSA and with the support of Sakpatenti, is aimed to arouse among students of the Faculties of Law interest in intellectual property, as well as to deepen knowledge in this field.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the National
Intellectual Property Center of Georgia and the Swiss State Secretariat for
Economic Affairs (SECO). On behalf of Georgia the Memorandum was signed by Mr.
Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and on behalf of the Switzerland – by
H.E. Heidi Grau – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss
Confederation to Georgia. The ceremony of signing took place at the Head Office
of Sakpatenti.
The work of the 2023
edition of the Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications is
over. The event, which was organized by Sakpatenti and the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and held in Tbilisi, is a major and large-scale global forum
in
the field of intellectual property protection, taking place every two years
Within the
Worldwide Symposium on Geographical Indications, Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman
of Sakpatenti, together with Mr. David Gabunia, Director of oriGIn-Georgia, met with Mr. Riccardo
Deserti, President of oriGIn, and
his accompanying persons. The meeting is
aimed to deepen cooperation between the parties and to implement joint
activities directed at the development of the system of protection of
geographical indications
