Public Lecture was Held at the Techno-Park

Sakpatenti Chairman Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze held a public lecture at the Techno-Park on the topic “From an Idea to Intellectual Property”.
Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze provided to young innovators and other interested persons basic information on intellectual property law, on the basis of practical examples offered an overview of stages to be passed from an idea to intellectual property, explained peculiarities of intellectual property subject-matters and discussed their protection mechanisms and means.
During the meeting Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze noted that the process of economic growth of a country is considerably dependent on the development of branches based on innovative research, thus, information on intellectual property matters will assist creative-minded youth in deepening knowledge in new technologies and giving a proper direction to innovative activities.
The meeting held on February 13 was organized by Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and Sakpatenti. Within the Memorandum, public lectures on intellectual property issues are also planned in near future.
