The State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China’s ( SIPO) delegation headed by Deputy Commissioner Dr. He Zhimin, paid an official visit to Georgia

On July 20th 2017, in Batumi a meeting was held between Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman of National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia SAKPATENTI and Mr. He Zhimin, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China ( SIPO).
At the meeting, the parties discussed mutual cooperation issues, outlined future cooperation plans and perspectives. During the meeting, in the framework of Memorandum of Understanding between two entities, two year (2017-2018), Action Plan was signed which includes: Participation of Georgian side in the great Silk Road new project -“one road one belt”; moreover, in the framework of the State Chinese Scholarship Program, involvement of Georgian students in Master programs of Intellectual Property. In addition, SIPO’s Patent Search and Analysis System will be used as cooperation platform and instrument.
Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office ( SIPO), Dr. He Zhimin is on an official visit in Georgia. He met with Genadi Arveladze - Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and participates in the International Conference “Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy”. SIPO is the biggest National Intellectual Property Office in the world, which is the member of IP5 union together with European, USA, Japan and Korean associated agencies.
Close cooperation with this powerful agency will encourage successful future activities of SAKPATENTI and development of IP system in Georgia.
