Preliminary Patent Search: Sakpatenti’s new service is available for everyone
October 16, 2017
Starting from today (16.10.2017) every interested person will have an opportunity to use Sakpatenti’s Patent Information Service – Preliminary Patent Search. This service covers a patent search in worldwide commercial and public sector patent databases, as well as in non-patent (e.g. scientific) literature databases. The searched documents and reports will assist the inventors to get an overview on the state of the art in their fields of technology, to be able to assess patentability of their inventions prior to drafting a patent application and to better plan further steps, e.g. drafting a patent application and filing it at Sakpatenti.
The Preliminary Patent Search Service was established in 2015 at Sakpatenti and initially it was intended for the assessment of the projects from universities, scientific research institutions, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).
For using the Preliminary Patent Search Service please register at the E-filing system of Sakpatenti (http://online.sakpatenti.org.ge) and complete the appropriate application form (Preliminary Search) online.
The Preliminary Patent Search Service is free of charge.
