Delegation of the European Patent Office (EPO) Visited Sakpatenti

Representatives of the European Patent Office (EPO) visited Georgia to finalize the text of the “Agreement with the European Patent Office on Validation of European Patents” (Validation Agreement).

Within the visit, a meeting took place with Mr. Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Sakpatenti management. In the framework of the validation agreement the parties discussed future cooperation opportunities and perspectives of Georgia joining EPO.  The parties finalized the negotiations on the Validation Agreement text at the meeting held in Sakpatenti.

The European Patent Office, carries out examination of patent applications and grants European patents, unites 38 member states.
