The Final Training of Trainers of the Georgian Intellectual Property (IP) Academy – Module 5: Training on Copyright and Related Rights is organized by Sakpatenti and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO)

On June 4-8, 2018, the final, Module 5: Training on Copyright and Related Rights is organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia Sakpatenti for trainers of the Georgian Intellectual Property (IP) Academy.
The training aim is to teach preparation of training programs on copyright and related rights and their enforcement, using relevant teaching methodologies, in particular, development of specific training materials and exercises related to the given IP subject-matter, which will be intended for government officials, representatives of law enforcement bodies, lawyers, representatives of small and medium enterprises and other target groups.
The module, held within the WIPO Intellectual Property Academy Project, is led by foreign and Georgian experts.
Within the Project, training modules were offered on each IP subject-matters (trademarks, designs, geographical indications and appellations of origin, inventions and utility models, etc.), whereas the current Module 5: Training on Copyright and Related Rights represents the final stage. The first module for Georgian trainers was organized by WIPO experts mission in December, 2015.
After the completion of the Project, the Georgian trainers will receive certificates and will be officially granted the status of accredited trainers of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy.
