Conference “Intellectual Property (IP) and Education”

On June 20-21, 2018, The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia Sakpatenti, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), is organizing the conference “Intellectual Property (IP) and Education”.
During the conference, the importance of intellectual property and its teaching within various educational programs as well as methodologies of teaching innovation at primary, post and graduation levels were discussed. Invited experts will share the success stories of implementing educational projects in this direction in various countries.
In addition, at the conference the participants will receive information on the WIPO Academy IP educational programs, including distance learning courses, human capacity building programs, master’s programs and summer schools. Information will also be offered for the ongoing projects of Sakpatenti National IP Academy and its plans for future.
The meeting is attended by representatives of government agencies, universities and research institutions, as well as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), international organizations and intellectual property offices of various countries.
