ELSA Summer School

The Summer School on Intellectual Property Law is held in Georgia for already the third time. The event is organized by the European Law Students Association Georgia (ELSA Georgia), National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti, Department of Education, Sport and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall, the World Project Organization (WPO) and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of U.S. Department of Commerce. From July 15-22, 2018, 45 students from 17 countries, of European and Georgian universities will listen to lectures delivered by Sakpatenti top officials and sectoral specialists on mechanisms of legal protection of intellectual property subject-matters and tools of their international registration. During the study course, the Summer School participants will visit Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti, where they will familiarize with the activities of these organizations and will receive comprehensive information on functioning of the intellectual property system of Georgia.
For already the third time, Georgia is successfully joining 22 countries, where the study course is led by qualified sectoral specialists, who share their experience with students of various countries and facilitate raising their awareness.
