Intellectual Property Training for Georgian Journalists and Media Members

On July 20, 2018, training on intellectual property rights for journalists took place in Batumi. The meeting was organized by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of U.S. Department of Commerce and the Embassy of the United States of America to Georgia.
During the training, American and European experts familiarized Georgian journalists with the essence and importance of intellectual property. In addition, representatives of Sakpatenti and the Georgian Copyright Association introduced to the journalists the current situation concerning the IP protection and rights enforcement in Georgia.
Organization of similar meetings for journalists has already became a traditional in Georgia and it is aimed at raising awareness in the IP field.
