WIPO Distance Learning Course is Already Available in Georgian

On September 19, 2018, registration will start for the WIPO Academy Distance Learning General Course (DL101GE) and interested persons will have an opportunity to pass it already in the Georgian language (see the link: http://www.sakpatenti.gov.ge/ka/page/181/).
The Georgian-language version of the course was developed by Sakpatenti, within the cooperation with the WIPO Intellectual Property Academy. At the first stage the pilot version of the course will be offered for school teachers. The course is free of charge and is intended for teachers of technical and natural sciences subjects, to allow them on the basis of the gained knowledge to stimulate pupils in inventive activity and to guide them in the process of creating valuable inventions and innovative projects. In case of successful completion of the course, the teachers will be handed over the certificates of the WIPO Academy and they will also be able to participate in the WIPO Project “Intellectual Property for Youth and Teachers” (for additional information see: IP4YOUTH&TEACHERS https://welc.wipo.int/ipedu/main).
During the course, the teachers will be tutored by trainers of Sakpatenti Training Centre, accredited by WIPO. Any other interested persons will be able to register for the above-mentioned course from January 15, 2019. In future it is also planned to develop the Georgian versions of WIPO Academy specialized distance learning courses for individual IP subject-matters (trademarks, copyright inventions, etc.).
