Sakpatenti Hosted Pupils from Pankisi

On June 25, 2019, pupils from schools of the Pankisi Gorge villages visited the head office of Sakpatenti in Mtskheta. The meeting took place on the initiative of the “Junior Achievement Georgia (JA Georgia)”, which is implementing in Pankisi schools the subproject “Basic Business Concepts in Primary Education” of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Pankisi Community Links”. 

During the meeting Ms. Manana Pruidze, Acting Deputy Chairperson of Sakpatenti offered the participants extensive information on the functioning of the intellectual property system and activities of Sakpatenti, she focused attention on separate IP subject-matters and discussed the importance and role of their legal protection in the economic, social and cultural development of the country. At the end of the meeting, the pupils from Pankisi schools were handed over books of fairy tales on intellectual property subject-matters. 

The objective of the event was to raise awareness among youth in the intellectual property field.
