The WIPO First Online Roving Webinar on Services and Initiatives will Take Place on May 26

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) begins a series of online Roving Seminars, which aims to offer detailed information on WIPO services and initiatives to all stakeholders under the conditions of different measures of confinement and restrictions related to the COVID 19 pandemic. In the course of the webinar, WIPO experts will introduce the basic features of their respective services of the organization as well as the measures WIPO has adopted to address the COVID 19 pandemic. During 90 minutes participants of the webinar will be given an opportunity of interaction, receiving answers to specific questions and obtaining practical knowledge on the following issues:
• international protection of inventions under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT);
• international protection of trademarks under the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks;
• international protection of designs under the Hague system for the International Registration of Industrial Designs;
• ensuring international protection of geographical indications under the Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of Origin and their International Registration;
• Alternative Dispute Resolution, Global Infrastructure and IP Portal.
The first webinar will take place on May 26, 2020 at 5 p.m CET, and will be aimed to reach out to the stakeholders in Europe, Central Asia and North America. Other seminars will follow soon.
