INTA Popular Two-Hour Discussion will be Hosted by Georgia

The Virtual Round Table, organized by the International Trademark Association (INTA) and Sakpatenti, will take place on May 28, 2020 at 16:00. The dialogue will be devoted to the results of the measures taken against counterfeiting in Georgia during the Coronavirus (Covid19) period and future prospects.
The participants of the Round Table, which will be attended by approximately 50 members of INTA, will consist of the public and private sectors representatives of Georgia. Presentations will be delivered by: Mr. Giorgi Taktakishvili, Chairman of the Georgian National Association of Patent Attorneys, member of Enforcement Committee of INTA and the Managing Partner of IP law firm “Mikadze, Gegetchkori, Taktakishvili”, Mr. Samson Ubiria, Head of the International Relations Department of the Revenue Service, and Ms. Myrtha Hurtado Rivas Global Head of Trademarks & Domain Names at “Novartis”,Head of the INTA Anticounterfeiting Committee and Ms. Nathalie Ruffin - Global Brand IP Director of Ferring Pharmaceuticals.
The meeting, will traditionally lasts two hours. The meeting will be opened by Mrs. Nino Chikovani, Deputy Chairperson of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia Sakpatenti and Mr. Okan Can, representative of company “Deris” and Chair Eastern Europe & Central Asia Anticounterfeiting Subcommittee of INTA. Mr. Irakli Kasradze, Head of the Department of Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Designs of Sakpatenti and Mr. Giorgi Tsatava, representative of “Mikadze Gegetchkori Taktakishvili” and INTA Eastern Europe and Central Asia Anticounterfeiting Subcommittee Member will be moderating the meeting.
The INTA traditional Round Table serves the purpose to share present information on trademarks among the professionals of this field. By organizing such meetings for trademark right holders and specialists of this field, INTA facilitates the development of the system of trademarks and the intellectual property system, in general. This ensures customer protection and development of fair commercial activities.
