Support the Office was expressed during the remote meeting of Mr. Mindia Davitadze, Chairman of the Intellectual Property Office of Georgia, and Mr. Sherif Saadallah, Head of the Academy, held on October 7, 2020.
At the meeting, the Executive Director of WIPO Academy indicated establishment and implementation of intellectual property educational programs at higher educational institutions of Georgia among the key issues for cooperation. In addition, translation and customization of the WIPO publications and materials of the WIPO distance learning advanced course on Intellectual Property Law “Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications” (DL-302) in Georgian language has been stressed as a priority.

The above-mentioned training on demand will be created in the Georgian language, according to the legislation of Georgia.
As noted by the Executive Director of WIPO Academy Mr. Sherif Saadallah “The Academy is glad to hear the initiatives voiced by Sakpatenti. The Intellectual Property Office of Georgia is a model of an efficient cooperation”.
