Sakpatenti will obtain ISO 9001:2015 certificate in 2021 – Working on introduction of standards has been started

National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia “Sakpatenti” in order to introduce high standard of operation starts cooperation with the consulting company “Management Systems”. First working meeting between the managers of the organizations has been conducted today, on December 24 and the main purpose of the meeting was to elaborate work plan, the final result of which is obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certificate by “Sakpatenti”. 

Consulting company “Management Systems” is an official representative of the certification bodies (TUV SUD, etc.) in Georgia, that will assist Sakpatenti in creating and introducing flexible system of quality management, in increasing qualification of the employees in order to increase labor productivity and to optimize the ongoing processes in the company, as well as the Center will receive recommendations on the ways to improve quality management and occupational safety.

According to ISO 9001:2015 requirements, entity defines all the necessary processes, defines their sequence, documents each of them, tests and analyses separate processes and provides continuous improvement of system effectiveness. All the above mentioned will further improve the image of Sakpatenti both locally and internationally, that will be followed by new international partnerships and trust of local customers.

Taking into consideration the principles of ISO 9001:2015, the Center expresses its wish to be the organization that is oriented on customer, leadership, staff involvement, procedural approaches, improvement, evidence based decisions and management of relations. Introduction of working according to the mentioned principles will be provided within the EU funded “European Union-Georgia Intellectual Property Project” (EUGIPP), that has been being implemented since 2020 by European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia “Sakpatenti”.

At the meeting between Sakpatenti management and representatives of the company “Management Systems”, the approximate date of obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certificate was announced – it is 2021.

According to the work plan, the company “Management Systems” will provide analysis of the existing situation, trainings for the staff, elaboration and introduction of the system, pre-certification audit, certification, maintenance of the system in working condition and its improvement.
