Mindia Davitadze Held the Meeting with the Member of Parliament - Mr. David Songhulashvili

Mr. Mindia Davitadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia, within the scope of activities of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament of Georgia introduced the priority directions of the Centre to the Chair of the Committee Mr. David Songhulashvili.
During the meeting, held at the Parliament of Georgia on February 8, 2020, the parties discussed the ongoing projects aimed at the development of the system of geographical indications and appellations of origin in Georgia. They also discussed the draft amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Copyright and Related Rights”, related to the elaboration of the system of Internet Service Providers Liability and introduction of effective mechanisms of rights enforcement for copyright holders in the Internet.
During the meeting it was agreed to continue the cooperation on the above-mentioned issues and to further intensify communication between the Committee and the National Intellectual Property Centre.
