Sakpatenti Chairman visited the Embassy of Israel. At the introductory meeting, Mr. Ran Gidor, Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, and Mr. Mindia Davitadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, discussed the fields of future cooperation and explored the possibilities of initiating joint projects. At the meeting Mr. Mindia Davitadze expressed concern over the developments in Israel and hope that the situation in the region will be improved soon and the population will be able to live together in the peaceful and stable environment.
At the meeting, attention was focused on establishment of cooperation and initiation of joint projects between Sakpatenti and MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel. It is noteworthy that MASHAV ensures delivering courses for representatives of more than 140 countries and initiation of similar projects will facilitate professional development of Sakpatenti staff members and better demonstration of their capabilities. In this regard, one of the main topics was highlighted – possibility of developing joint projects with the Israel Patent Office, within which, training courses will be offered and various study programs will be implemented on the basis of experience of Jewish colleagues.
As the Israel Patent Office is under the subordination of the Ministry of Justice of Israel, the Ambassador of Israel, as the official representative of the country in Georgia, expressed readiness to assist Sakpatenti in establishing official relations and initiation of cooperation with the above-mentioned office.
It is noteworthy that Sakpatenti, in its turn, shows great interest in innovations and technological novelties introduced in Israel. Sakpatenti awarded one of the winning teams of the Millennium Innovation Competition with the visit to the STEM camp of one of the leading technological universities (Haifa TeenTech at the Technion), where the team members will receive theoretical and practical knowledge and will familiarize with the recent technological achievements of the world.
