Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response Mechanism is Introduced at Sakpatenti

Training on the issues of sexual harassment was held for Sakpatenti staff members with the support of the UN Women, Administration of the Government of Georgia and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Creation and maintaining of comfortable workplace for employees is one of the priorities for the Center.
“I would like to proudly mention that one of the first public agencies to introduce this mechanism is Sakpatenti. After introducing the response mechanism, by means of training series, we are moving to the next stage, which implies raising awareness among Sakpatenti staff members on these issues”, - Mr. David Naghebashvili, Sakpatenti Deputy Chairperson, opened the first part of the meeting with these remarks.
The training was led by invited trainer, Mr. Goga Khatiashvili. Within these training series, 100 employees will be trained in total with the assistance of partner offices.
The activity, which was held in the remote format, will increase the effectiveness of the approved rules on sexual harassment prevention and response. “Rules on Sexual Harassment Prevention and Response at Sakpatenti” was approved and entered into force on February 22, 2021, by Order #46 of the Chairman.
