European Patent Office (EPO) offers unique opportunity to the young inventors from all over the world

To encourage the innovative capabilities of the younger generation, new nomination of “Young Inventors Prize” has been established in addition to the EPO annual competition “European Inventor Award”. This prize is aimed at young inventors who work on technological solutions development that will help to reach the Sustainable Development Goals of UN.
Innovators or group of innovators aged under 30 are given opportunities to introduce their technological innovations to the world. Those wishing to participate in the competition should complete the online form and submit the nomination to EPO by October 1, 2021. Each proposal will be checked by an EPO multi-disciplinary panel of experts and independent jury of “European Inventor Award” will reveal the three finalists. Applications of candidates with granted patents for inventions and utility models will be prioritized.
The winner will receive a cash prize of EUR 20 000, the second and third placed finalists will receive EUR 10 000 and EUR 5 000 respectively. National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia –SAKPATENTI will assist any innovators or group of innovators in filling the application form for “Young Inventors Prize”.
The finalists of “Young Inventors Prize” will be announced six weeks prior to the annual European Inventor Award ceremony and the winner will be announced at the ceremony in June 2022.
