The WIPO 62nd General Assembly Started Work Today, on October 4

Today, Ms. Manana Pruidze, Acting Chairperson of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti, delivered a statement at the opening of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
In her statement at the 62nd Series of Meetings, Ms. Manana Pruidze, the head of the delegation of Georgia, expressed gratitude to WIPO for fruitful cooperation and focused attention on the importance of the ongoing joint projects. It is noteworthy that Georgia participates actively in the work of WIPO, this year, Georgia for already the second time chairs of the Central European and Baltic States (CEBS) Regional Group. The Assembly work will continue for one week, within which online meetings of the Georgian delegation is planned with WIPO Director General and other officials, as well as representatives of various partner countries.
WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property (IP) services, policy, information and cooperation. WIPO is a self-funding specialized agency of the United Nations, with 193 member states. WIPO’s mission is to lead the development of a balanced and effective international IP system that enables innovation and creativity for the benefit of all.
Georgia has been a WIPO member since 1991 and is represented in this organization by the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia - Sakpatenti.
