Work Continues on HR Development Component within EUGIPP

Within the ISO 9001:2015 certification process, employees of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia – Sakpatenti participated in the training sessions on appraisal and promotion systems of human resources (HR) The aim of the training sessions is to strengthen the performance level of the Office and to introduce the high standards and efficient system. The certification process is carried out with the support of the EU Georgia Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP).
The two-week training sessions are implemented within “Capacity Development on Human Resources”, which is one of the EUGIPP components. The initial stage included development and drafting of relevant job descriptions development for all job positions in the Office with involvement of representatives of structural units. The subsequent stage is development of appraisal system, which is also carried out with the participation of all staff members. The training was led by Ms. Mariam Kratsashvili, HR consultant involved in the Project, who discussed the performance appraisal system and feedback techniques to the appraisal system with the participants.
The EU-Georgia Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP), funded by the European Union, was launched on January 1, 2020 and is implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The main beneficiary of the Project is the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia - Sakpatenti. EUGIPP is a three-year project, with the budget of 1.2 million Euros and it is aimed to support the intellectual property system in Georgia.
