The First Imitated Legal Trial

On June 8, 2017, four imitated eight-final legal trials took place at Tbilisi Court of Appeals. The participants of the imitated trials were the best students of the Faculty of Law of various universities of Georgia, who have passed training at the Intellectual Property Law School in Borjomi on June 2-4.
The cases of the imitated trials dealt with the related grounds of refusal of trademark registration. Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman of National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia Sakpatenti, Mrs. Sophio Mujiri, Deputy Chairperson of Sakpatenti, and Mrs. Sophio Dumbadze, Chief Specialist, Legal and International Affairs Department of Sakpatenti, acted as judges. By the decision of the jury, of the 8 teams, 6 teams with the highest scores moved to the quarter-final, which will take place on June 13.
