Delegation of “SPICI” was Hosted at Sakpatenti

A delegation of the Digital Academy SPICI s.r.l., company for Innovation, Science Cooperation and Internationalization, is visiting Georgia. Objective of the visit is to familiarize with the innovations ecosystem and its contributing offices of Georgia. Digital Academy operates under the Technological Park of the Federico II University of Naples. To get acquainted with the activities implemented by Sakpatenti to promote innovations an international accelerator and entrepreneurship centre SPICI delegation visited Sakpatenti Head Office. 

Ms. Nino Chikovani, Acting Chairperson of Sakpatenti, introduced to the delegation information regarding the ongoing projects, carried out for stimulation of innovations in Georgia in cooperation with various state agencies, including the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation and higher educational institutions. Dr. Vincenzio Lipardi, President of SPICI, expressed readiness to collaborate with Sakpatenti and share knowledge and experience in order to refine and promote the innovations ecosystem of Georgia.

The meeting held at Sakpatenti was attended by Deputy Ambassador of Italy to Georgia, representatives of Universities of Naples, members of GITA team, Heads of the Department of Inventions and New Varieties and Breeds, and the Legal Department of Sakpatenti. 

The visit of the delegation of SPICI to Georgia was organized in the framework of the joint project of Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and the Italian Foundation for Innovation (COTEC). Project aim is to develop the innovative ecosystem of Georgia and to gain and exchange international experience. The project is supported by the Embassy of Italy to Georgia.
