EUGIPP Project Leader Visited Sakpatenti to Evaluate Progress of the Project and its Separate Components

To
get acquainted with the progress of the international cooperation project for
the support of the intellectual property system “EU Georgia Intellectual
Property Project (EUGIPP)”, Project Leader Mr. Martin Marianov and Project
Coordinator Mr. Andrea Iori visited Sakpatenti. The objective of the visit is
to discuss the progress of the project components, and to participate in the event
to be held in Tbilisi within the project. The visitors familiarized with the activities
of the Department
of Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Design, Legal Department and the
Department of Inventions and New Varieties and Breeds of Sakpatenti.
On June
29, 2022 the bilateral meeting was organized at Sakpatenti Head office, the
Acting Chairperson Ms. Nino Chikovani attended it. On a meeting, Mr. Martin
Marianov highlighted the successful and fruitful progress of the project and
considered the future cooperation possibilities
The planned
and implemented activities within the framework of EU
Georgia Intellectual Property Project (EUGIPP) and its relevant results will
significantly contribution to the development of the intellectual property
system of the country”, – Ms. Nino Chikovani noted.
EUGIPP is the EU funded international cooperation project, which is ongoing from January 1, 2020 and is implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The main beneficiary of the project is the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”. EUGIPP is a three-year project, with the budget of 1.2 million EUR.
