On June 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. a training regarding the ePCT platform will take place at Sakpatenti’s Tbilisi office (N. Ramishvili str. 31). The training will be delivered by a representative of the WIPO and it is intended for all interested persons, especially for patent attorneys and applicants.

ePCT is an electronic filing system of the WIPO in which all instances of the PCT system are involved: Receiving Offices (RO), the International Bureau (IB), International Searching Authorities (ISA) and International Preliminary Examination Authorities (IPEA). The ePCT system enables filing and processing of PCT applications, exchange of documents between authorities and communications with the applicant, all in electronic form. It is noteworthy that certain reductions apply on the International Filing Fee if the international application is filed in electronic form using ePCT compared to filing on paper.
As reported before, since June 1, 2017 nationals and residents of Georgia have the possibility to file international patent applications (PCT applications) at Sakpatenti as a Receiving Office (RO) online using ePCT platform.
