The Role of Universities in the Development of Innovation Ecosystem is the Topic of Innovative Business Forum

Ms. Manana Pruidze, Deputy Chairperson of Sakpatenti, and Mr. Merab Kutsia, Head of Department of Inventions and New Varieties and Breeds, Sakpatenti, are participating in the first international Innovative Business Forum in Georgia. The event opened at Kutaisi International University (KIU) on October 26 and will continue for two days.
The objective of the Forum is to instill entrepreneurship and innovations at universities. It is in tune with challenges and necessities of business and industry in the aspect of innovations. The agenda includes delivering presentations and workshops by foreign and Georgian participants, as well as holding various thematic meetings. Sakpatenti representatives are participating in discussion topics regarding technology transfer and entrepreneurship promotion programs. An exhibition of innovative projects created by KIU students will also be held within the Forum.
The Innovative Business Forum is organized by KIU. The event is held in partnership with the University Research Program (University Capacity Building Program, UCBP) of the U.S. Embassy and TUM International, within the KIU landmark innovation initiative. The event brings together government officials, industry leaders, executives of international organizations, international experts, representatives of financial institutions, major international companies and universities.
