Mr. Soso Giorgadze is Paying a Working Visit to the United States of America

Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – Sakpatenti, is visiting the USA on the invitation of the Unites States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

During the visit, the Chairman of Sakpatenti will participate in the Administration Program organized by the USPTO, which will be held on February 6-10, 2023, in Alexandria (Virginia). 

Representatives of the intellectual property offices of 30 countries of the world are invited to participate in the event. The Program includes discussion of issues related to functions and duties of national IP offices, budget formation and strategic planning of activities. 

In addition, the meeting will focus on advantages of creation of hybrid work environment, improvement of databases and means of increasing transparency. The participants will also discuss trademark trial and appeal issues. 

Within the visit to the United States of America, bilateral meetings with the representatives of the US government agencies are also planned. The first working visit of Mr. Soso Giorgadze as the Chairman of Sakpatenti to the USA will continue for 5 days.
