“Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy” – International Conference is Planned to be Held in Batumi

To develop effective mechanisms of intellectual property rights enforcement and introduce modern tendencies of combating counterfeiting and piracy, on July 24-25, 2023, the 7^th International Conference “Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy” will be held in Batumi. The event is co-organized by Sakpatenti and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

During the two-day Conference, representatives of the public and private sectors, as well as representatives of local and international partner organizations of Sakpatenti and sectoral specialists will discuss mechanisms of fighting counterfeiting and piracy in various directions. The Conference participants will get acquainted with modern approaches related to intellectual property rights enforcement and protection and will share practical experience. Holding a business dialogue between the parties in the Conference framework will contribute to deepening relations and implementation of more coordinated effective measures, which will facilitate overcoming current challenges in combating counterfeiting and piracy through mutual cooperation.
