Visit of Sakpatenti Delegation to EUIPO

Today, on July 10, 2017, a technical visit of Sakpatenti delegation started to Alicante (Spain). The visit is aimed at transition to the next stage of EUIPO and Sakpatenti electronic management system development and integration. Successful integration of three components (TM View, TM Class და DS View) has allowed integration of additional tools of seven different types. The delegation will familiarize with the technical details of new tools and will draft an action plan on the spot.

During the visit, the head of the delegation, Deputy Chairperson of Sakpatenti Mrs. Sophio Mujiri will participate in the IP Executive Week. During 5 days, the executives will discuss future prospects of protection of IP rights and implementation of the legal reform, and will also familiarize with the recent developments in the European patent system. At the meeting, panel discussion will be held on the following topics: innovative tools for IP offices and users; IP in the sport industry; new technology and its relevance in the IP world. Within the week, a workshop will be organized for IP executives - IP Offices and their Role in What Happens after Registration. 

The IP Executive Week is an annual meeting, organized by the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
