CEC Introduced to Sakpatenti Staff Electoral Updates and Electronic Technologies

Within a large-scale information campaign regarding electronic elections, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia held an information meeting with the staff members of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”.
Mr. Revaz Egadze, Head of the Division of Relations with Election Commissions, provided detailed information to the meeting participants on the preparatory process for the 2024 elections and technological updates.
During the meeting, mock elections were conducted and electronic electoral technologies were showcased. Meeting participants had an opportunity to test the operability of verification and vote-counting devices.
It is noteworthy, that as a result of the electoral reform carried out in Georgia, the present and all subsequent parliamentary elections will be held using electoral technologies, whereas nearly 90 % of voters will participate in upcoming elections using electoral technologies.
