Sakpatenti Passed ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit and Received the Highest Evaluation

The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia - “Sakpatenti”, in order to maintain and improve the high standard of functioning, passed a certification audit of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 and received the highest evaluation.
Within the international quality management standard ISO 9001:2015, in July of the current year, the company “Management Systems”, the official representative of the authoritative certification body TUVNORD in Georgia, conducted an audit of Sakpatenti, which included establishing the compliance of the processes determined by the quality management manual, approved by the Office, and its implementation.
As a result of the audit, it was confirmed once again that the goals, objectives and full functionality of the Office are in compliance with all the standards required by quality management. The highest evaluation of certification audit demonstrates that Sakpatenti constantly strives to strengthen the flexibility of the management system of service quality, analyze and plan a user-oriented system policy on the basis of defined indicators, develop effective risk management plans, ensure transparency of processes and public involvement, as well as strengthen the regulatory framework and sustainability of the system.
The quality management system of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 is an important tool which assists the organization to satisfy expectations of users, determine the establishment, maintenance and constant improvement of the quality management system, gain credibility not only on the local, but also on the international market. Introduction of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 by the organization provides to users an important signal regarding quality-oriented services and, hence, protects them from possible risks.
The principles of ISO 9001:2015 quality management were introduced at Sakpatenti from 2021, whereas work on it, within the “European Union-Georgia Intellectual Property Project” (EUGIPP), started from December 2020.
