The Chairman of Sakpatenti introduced to the beneficiaries the purpose of intellectual property with amusing examples and stories about inventions and designs and talked about the importance of the field. During grape picking, Mr. Soso Giorgadze told the children about the geographical places where vine grows exceptionally well and grapes acquire specific taste properties and quality. He also focused attention on other unique Georgian products, which are marked as geographical indications and appellations of origin and represent a special value for the economic, social and cultural development of our country. The children from the Dzegvi Rehabilitation Center, together with other participants of the vintage, directly participated in the process of pressing grapes and made churchkhelas with their own hands. The beneficiaries of the Center visited the exhibition area of the organization and received souvenirs, including children’s fairy tales about intellectual property subject-matters printed in Sakpatenti polygraphy, comics and cognitive educational materials prepared within the project “Creativity and Intellectual Property in Georgian Schools”.
During the conversation with the children of the Center, Mr. Soso Giorgadze noted that their participation in Sakpatenti vintage will become a tradition, which will help the youth to learn more about intellectual property, deepen their knowledge in this direction, so that in future they can get acquainted with the basics of this field and, optionally, acquire professional skills.
