Sakpatenti Participated in the Forum Organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration

The 8th Silk Road International Exposition (SRIE) opened and the Investment and Trade Forum for Cooperation Between East and West China was  held in Xi'an, China. The event was organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shaanxi Intellectual Property Office.

In order to present fully the latest achievements of development of Georgia and to deepen international cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection, on behalf of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia, Ms. Salome Tsimakuridze, Head of Sakpatenti Administration Department, attended the event. The representative of Sakpatenti participated in the opening event of the Forum and delivered a presentation on the topic: “Intellectual Property Contributing to High-quality Development”.

The event was attended by senior representatives of the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the People’s Government of the Shaanxi Province.  

It is noteworthy that the activation of Georgian-Chinese cooperation in the field of intellectual property protection facilitates deepening of relations between the two countries as well as within the region, which, in itself, ensures development of the national economy. In this regard, the Letter of Intent for Cooperation in Geographical Indications Protection signed between Sakpatenti and the National Intellectual Property Administration of China is of great importance, on the basis of which, Georgian-Chinese relations have practically moved to a new strategic stage.
