Every year, Sakpatenti, as the constant and active supporter of the competition, awards one of the finalist teams. At the Millennium Innovation Award 2024 ceremony, Sakpatenti Chairman Mr. Soso Giorgadze awarded the favourite team of Sakpatenti – “BEES” and handed over the special prize and presents instituted by Sakpatenti to the team members – Sandro Chikovani, Lazare Chachua, Elene Lukhutashvili, Demetre Khachidze and Daji Kuchava.
According to the “BEES” project – “Bee Venom Collection Process and Management”, the efficiency of bee venom collection is achieved by reducing the risk of bee death. Under the conditions of constant voltage frequency, period and amplitude on the device, the duration of voltage pulse is reduced, i.e., the pulse ratio is increased. Along with this, in the intervals between voltage applications, bees are affected by 30 Hz frequency sound pulses.
The Competition is organized by the Millennium Challenge Foundation, which implements the Millennium Innovation Award project in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia and with the financial support of the U.S. Embassy. In addition, along with Sakpatenti, the event is supported by the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA), Liberty Bank and EPAM Georgia.
