The First Qualification Examination of Patent Attorneys of Georgia has been Appointed

By Order №327of the Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti” the first qualification examination of patent attorneys of Georgia has been appointed.

The qualification examination of patent attorneys will be held in accordance with the legislation of Georgia in the following specializations:

• General specialization; 

• Trademark specialization. 

The qualification examination in each specialization will be conducted in two stages and will include a test and a written examination. The examination will be administrated in person, in writing, using a special electronic program. 

Examination Dates

• Stage I – Testing: November 29, 2025;

• Stage II – Written Examination: December 13, 2025.

Examination Registration Procedure and Deadline

Applicants must send a completed application form to the following email address:exam.patentattorney@sakpatenti.gov.ge 

Application period: October 1 October 31, 2025.

The application must be accompanied by the following documents (in electronic form):

• Copy of the ID card 

• Copy of the diploma confirming higher education (according to specialization)

• Personal resume (CV) in Georgian

• Photograph (3X4 format)

• Document confirming payment of the examination fee

Examination Fee

The participation fee for the qualification examination is 250 GEL. The fee must be paid upon registration to the following bank account:

 Within three working days, after submission, applicants will receive an email confirming compliance of the submitted data and documentation with the established requirements. 

Examination Program

The examination program is defined by Order №11 of the Chairman of the LEPL National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia– “Sakpatenti”, dated January 31, 2025, titled “On Approval of the Form, Rule of Conducting the Qualification Examination of Patent Attorneys of Georgia and the Examination Program, the Form and Rule of Issuing the Document Confirming Passing the Qualification Examination of Patent Attorneys of Georgia – Certificate”.
