A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Sakpatenti and the Art Palace of Georgia

In order to highlight the importance of protecting intellectual property and cultural heritage and to facilitate the creative potential of society, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti” and the Art Palace of Georgia. The document was signed by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairperson of Sakpatenti and Mr. George Kalandia, General Director of the Art Palace of Georgia.
Under the Memorandum, the cooperation between the parties will cover implementation of projects of mutual interest aimed at facilitating research and protection of intellectual property, as well as cultural heritage.
The Memorandum envisages organization of joint training and educational events, including conferences, training sessions, seminars and exhibitions. In addition, it is planned to implement various initiatives and activities for target groups, which will better demonstrate the importance and role of the above-mentioned fields in the economic, social and cultural development of the country. Furthermore in order to achieve the objectives set out in the Memorandum, informational and educational materials will be printed at Sakpatenti, distribution of which will be ensured by the parties signing the Memorandum.
Active cooperation between Sakpatenti and the Art Palace in the field of protection of intellectual property and cultural heritage will contribute to the popularization of their activity. Through the joint efforts, the public will be better informed, that will create new opportunities for creativity and will strengthen the cultural and innovative potential of the country.
