A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Sakpatenti and the Georgian Bar Association

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia and the Georgian Bar Association. The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and Mr. Irakli Kandashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association.
The purpose of the cooperation is to enhance professional knowledge and practical skills in intellectual property law, raise awareness, promote innovation and inventive activity, as well as support the further development of the field.
Under the Memorandum, the parties will jointly implement educational, scientific and professional development projects. It is planned to organize conferences, workshops, discussions, training sessions, seminars and public lectures on current issues of intellectual property.
The cooperation also envisages enhancing the professional qualifications of lawyers, patent attorneys and other interested professionals, the strengthening of cooperation with international and donor organizations, preparation of joint publications, as well as exchanging experience and information aimed at improving the legislation and legal practice in the field of intellectual property law.
The parties believethat this cooperation will contribute to strengthening the intellectual property protection system in the country, enhancing professional qualifications and improving the ability to respond effectively to the contemporary challenges in the given field.
