The Presentation of the Sakpatenti Journal Was Held at the Zviad Gamsakhurdia Presidential Center in Zugdidi

Sakpatenti published the second part of the journal “Georgian Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications,” which was printed at the printing facility of the office.

The journal contains interesting information and informative and visual material of an educational nature on 12 products registered at Sakpatenti, distinguished by their uniqueness, taste qualities, quality, and high reputation. These special products, marked with appellations of origin and geographical indications, play an important role in the economic development of the country.

The presentation took place at the Zviad Gamsakhurdia Presidential Center in Zugdidi. The event was opened by Mr. Giorgi Kalandia, Director of the Union of Palaces and Museums of Georgia. Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti,” addressed the attendees. Journalist Ms. Marika Bakuradze, who co-authored the texts of the journal with Mr. Giorgi Kalandia, also addressed the audience.

The authors of the journal’s visual material are the late well-known photographer Mr. Badri Vadachkoria, as well as photographers Mr. Kakhaber Gogichaishvili and Mr. Paata Vardanashvili. Ms. Elene Davitashvili worked on the design of the publication.

The presentation of the journal was attended by Mr. David Kodua, Mayor of Zugdidi Municipality, other representatives of local self-government bodies, staff members of the Union of Palaces and Museums of Georgia and Sakpatenti, as well as invited guests.

The first part of the journal on Georgian appellations of origin and geographical indications was published in 2024, containing interesting material on 64 unique Georgian products registered at Sakpatenti.
