Georgia will also be Represented at INTA 2016

Sakpatenti will participate in the Annual Meeting of International Trademark Association (INTA). Information on Georgia will be introduced to representatives of companies owning more than 9500 well-known brands worldwide, law firms and offices related to the intellectual property field. The meeting, which is the most significant event in the world with respect to trademarks, will be held on May 21-25, 2016 in Orlando (Florida, USA).

As a result of the measures and active campaign carried out by Sakpatenti last year, the number of trademark applications increased up to 10%, which financially in total is reflected in approximately 200000 (two hundred thousand) US dollars equivalent in GEL. To further improve this figure, Sakpatenti is planning to participate at INTA in a round table discussion and the exhibition, where information will be presented on intellectual property subject-matters registration in Georgia, their enforcement mechanisms, the investment climate and doing business in Georgia.

INTA is a global union of owners of trademarks and specialists working in this field, the activity of which is directed towards supporting the development of the system of trademarks and intellectual property, in general, in order to ensure protection of consumers and carrying out fair and efficient commercial activity.
