Conference on World Book and Copyright Day

In order to raise public awareness on copyright and increase youth involvement in this field a conference took place with the participation of students of Telavi State University and pupils of Qvareli and Gurjaani public schools. During the meeting, held on April 24, 2016, at Qvareli Training Centre of Justice, the youth familiarized with a general overview of intellectual property, legislation regulating copyright and related rights, as well as copyright in publishing activities. 

The conference was organized by the Georgian Copyright Association, Training Centre of Justice of Georgia, National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti and Crime Prevention Centre. The participants were handed over relevant conference certificates, a collection of articles published within the project “50 Public Servants” and a set of presents. By the initiative of Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze, Chairman of National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti, students participating in the conference will have an opportunity of internships at Sakpatenti.
