Meeting with Patent Attorneys Took Place at Sakpatenti

On February 19, a meeting with patent attorneys took place at Sakpatenti Tbilisi office. Sakpatenti Chairman Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze presented to the invited guests the report on the one-year work, in which progress was observable as a result of the efficient activity of Sakpatenti. 

Mr. Nikoloz Gogilidze noted that on the basis of the measures directed towards improvement of trademark examination, in 2015 the number of trademark applications rose considerably, whereas the number of appeals decreased. The number of appeals upheld by the Chamber of Appeals also increased. Sakpatenti Chairman focused attention on success achieved through cooperation with international offices. Mr. Gogilidze welcomed the patent attorneys’ notes, suggestions and recommendations, which will be taken into consideration and shared in the process of further work of Sakpatenti. Chairman introduced to the participants of the meeting the list of international events in which the involvement of patent attorneys will be significant.
