Sakpatenti to Host a Series of Events in Geneva Dedicated to Georgia's Cultural and Historical Heritage, Bringing Together Hundreds of Guests from More Than 190 Countries

The 68th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has opened in Geneva, Switzerland, bringing together hundreds of representatives from 194 Member States and international organizations.
As part of the Assemblies, an event dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Georgia will be held on July 8, organized by the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”. The event will be attended First Lady Tamar Bagrationi. It will bring together hundreds of delegates from more than 190 countries, as well as representatives of international organizations, the diplomatic corps, senior government officials, and leading figures in the field of intellectual property.
The event will comprise an exhibition showcasing the Georgian language and its unique alphabet, centuries-old literature, traditional attire, jewelry craftsmanship, and Georgia’s winemaking heritage; a program of Georgian folk music and dance will also be presented, featuring performances by ensemble “Basiani” and the Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili”. The guests will have the opportunity to taste Georgian products protected by appellations of origin, along with traditional Georgian dishes.
During the WIPO General Assemblies, Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, will deliver Georgia’s statement to the Assemblies. Bilateral meetings are also planned with the Director General of WIPO, senior officials of the European Patent Office and other international institutions, to discuss strengthening cooperation in the field of intellectual property and the development of joint initiatives.
The 68th General Assemblies of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will continue until July 15.
