A fact of successful enforcement of rights on the protected Georgian geographical indication “Churchkhela” took place in the Republic of Latvia
As a result of the activities conducted by the Food and Veterinary Agency of the Republic of Latvia, goods infringing rights on the geographical indication “Churchkhela” were removed from the channels of commerce.

Sakpatenti joins WIPO CASE platform
Sakpatenti has joined WIPO CASE - Centralized Access to Search and Examination platform administered by WIPO. The WIPO CASE system enables patent offices to securely share search and examination documentation related to patent applications in order to facilitate work sharing programs.

On July 21-22, 2018, the Workshop on Adjudication of Civil Intellectual Property Infringement Cases took place in Batumi with the participation of Georgian judges. National patent collection of Georgia in Patentscope and Espacenet
The full national patent collection of Georgia is now available for the first time in WIPO’s global patent search system Patentscope. The collection includes patents issued by Sakpatenti from its establishment in 1992 until today, altogether around 8850 documents. It includes ca. 6900 patents on invention and ca. 1950 patents on utility model.
