
New Appellation of Origin “Akhoebi”
Sakpatenti issued a certificate of registration for appellation of origin “Akhoebi”. It is a special wine of dark red colour, with excellent, full, extravagant, velvet, harmonious taste and aroma. The application for registration was filed with the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti by N(N)IP Kardenakhi Wine.

Mechanisms of Combatting Counterfeiting during Coronavirus Pandemic – Sakpatenti Hosted a Round Table
More than 50 members of the International Trademark Association (INTA) attended today the Virtual Round Table, organized by Sakpatenti and INTA, a dialogue on the intellectual property policy, which was devoted to discussion of the challenges and problems related with counterfeiting during the Coronavirus pandemic period and ways of their overcoming.

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) begins a series of online Roving Seminars, which aims to offer detailed information on WIPO services and initiatives to all stakeholders under the conditions of different measures of confinement and restrictions related to the COVID 19 pandemic. Tsarapi - Sakpatenti Registered a New Appellation of Origin for Wine
“Tsarapi” was added to the register of appellations of origin in Georgia. The National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti issued the certificate of registration for the new appellation of origin of Georgian wine in the name of N(N)IP Kardenakhi Wine, after the completion of relevant procedures.

The Next Director General of WIPO will be Mr. Daren Tang
Today, on May 8, 2020, during the 60th General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the next Director General was appointed officially. From October 1, 2020, during the next 6 years, Mr. Daren Tang, who held Chief Executive Position at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), prior to the appointment as Director General, will helm the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
