Today, on July 20, 2019, the Workshop on Adjudication of Civil Intellectual Property Infringement Cases is taking place in Batumi with the participation of Georgian judges. The workshop is organized by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the United States Embassy in Georgia.

Closing of the International Summer School on Law ELSA 2019
The international Summer School on Law ended today, on July 5, 2019. 25 graduates of the School, who passed the course on the topic “Intellectual Property Law”, were handed over relevant diplomas of the study course.
ELSA Summer School 2019
The Summer School on Intellectual Property Law is held in Georgia for already the fourth time. The event is organized by the European Law Students Association Georgia (ELSA Georgia), National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Sakpatenti Hosted Pupils from Pankisi
On June 25, 2019, pupils from schools of the Pankisi Gorge villages visited the head office of Sakpatenti in Mtskheta. The meeting took place on the initiative of the “Junior Achievement Georgia (JA Georgia)”, which is implementing in Pankisi schools the subproject “Basic Business Concepts in Primary Education” of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Pankisi Community Links”.
“Patent Search” – Free Study Course at Sakpatenti Training Centre
To support interested parties to familiarize with the scientific and technological achievements in the intellectual property field, namely, patents, to acquire state of the art preliminary assessment procedures prior to preparing a patent application and to better plan drafting and filing a patent application with the patent office, the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti has developed a study course, which is offered free of charge to representatives of universities and scientific-research institutions.

IBSU Students Familiarized with Sakpatenti Services
Today, on May 20, 2019, an information meeting took place at the International Black Sea University (IBSU) Research and Innovation Hub, aimed at raising awareness of the University students and representatives of its faculties on the necessity of protection of intellectual property.

First Conference of Winegrowers was Organized with the Support of Sakpatenti
Problems existing in the sector of winegrowers and ways of their solution were discussed during the First Conference of Winegrowers, held with the support of the National intellectual Property Centre of Georgia Sakpatenti in Gurjaani Municipality.

The Second Mission of the Twinning Project
Today, on May 13, 2019, within the framework of the Project on “Establishing Efficient Protection and Control System of Geographical Indications (GIs) in Georgia”, a delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture of Italy visited Georgia. The Project, which is implemented within the EU funded Twinning Project, envisages the development of the current system of geographical indications in Georgia.
