The Parliament Supported the Amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Design”
At the plenary session, the Parliament of Georgia, at III reading, unanimously approved the amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Design”, which were prepared on the initiative and by the authorship of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”.

Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti), together with Mr. Manuchar Robakidze, Mayor of Terjola Municipality, and Mr. Soso Chapichadze, Chairman of the Municipal Assembly, visited Terjola Kindergarten No. 3 and met with Ms. Maia Tortladze, Director of the Terjola Municipal Preschool Education Center, and coordinators of educational programs.
Head of Sakpatenti Education and Training Center Participated in the International Advanced Certificate Program in Strasbourg
Ms. Lali Amiranashvili, Head of the Education and Training Center of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”, participated in the advanced certificate training program on Intellectual Property, Technology Transfer and Licensing. The program is implemented in cooperation with CEIPI, WIPO Academy and the National Institute of Industrial Property of France (INPI) and is aimed to develop the practical and strategic competencies of the participants in the direction of intellectual property management, technology transfer, commercialization of research results and licensing.

Committee on Enforcement (ACE) was held at the headquarters of the World
Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms. Darejan
Mtchedlidze, Head of the Trademarks, Geographical Indications and Designs
Department of Sakpatenti, participated as an invited speaker and delivered a
presentation on the topic: “Raising
Awareness of the Importance of Intellectual Property in Georgia through
Educational and Information Activities.”
