
Participation of Children from Dzegvi Rehabilitation Center in Sakpatenti Vintage will Become Traditional
The vintage took place in the vineyard planted on the territory of Sakpatenti head office in Mtskheta. Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, actively participated in the grape picking process, together with the staff members. Mr. David Nozadze, State Trustee in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, Mr. Dimitri Zurabishvili, Mayor of Mtskheta Municipality, and Mr. Dimitri Khundadze, Member of the Parliamentary Majority, also took part in the vine festival. In addition, Sakpatenti guests from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) –trainers of the Academy and international experts – engaged actively in the vintage.

Georgia Joined the Marrakesh Treaty
According to the resolution of the Parliament of Georgia of September 17, 2024, Georgia joined the “Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired, or Otherwise Print Disabled” of June 27, 2013 (hereinafter – the Marrakesh Treaty).

The International Master’s Program in Intellectual Property is Planned to be Introduced for the First Time in Georgia

Students Have Been Selected to Pass Internship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office

Sakpatenti is a Supporter of the Celebration of New Grape Harvest - “Stveli”
To mark the beginning of the grape harvest in Georgia, the new grape harvest celebration - “Stveli” was held in Telavi. The festival is aimed to popularize Georgian wine products on the local market, in particular, wines of geographical indications and appellations of origin, made from Georgian grapes, and to raise their consumer culture.
Sakpatenti's Training Center Hosts International Training Program on Intellectual Property with 14 Countries Represented
A completely renewed International Executive Program on Geographical Indications (GI), co-organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Sakpatenti, is being held at the Sakpatenti Intellectual Property Education and Training Center. This marks the eighth edition of the program, which has been updated in 2024 to place greater emphasis on European Union best practices and practical applications. To enhance this focus, EU experts from both academic and professional circles have been invited. Notably, based on Georgia’s successful experience and leadership in the field of GIs, it remains the only country where the WIPO Academy offers this joint advanced international training program annually.

Sakpatenti Passed ISO 9001:2015 Certification Audit and Received the Highest Evaluation
The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia - “Sakpatenti”, in order to maintain and improve the high standard of functioning, passed a certification audit of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 and received the highest evaluation.
Students from Various European Universities Passed Intellectual Property Training at Sakpatenti Training Center
Students from universities of various European countries passed intellectual property training at Sakpatenti Intellectual Property Teaching and Training Center. The International Summer School of Intellectual Property Law is held annually since 2016, organized by the European Law Students’ Association Georgia (ELSA Georgia) and Sakpatenti, and more than 200 students from various leading universities of the European Union have participated in it.
CEC Introduced to Sakpatenti Staff Electoral Updates and Electronic Technologies
Within a large-scale information campaign regarding electronic elections, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia held an information meeting with the staff members of the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”.
