The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee of the Parliament of Georgia Supported the Amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Design”
The Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee reviewed and supported the draft Law of Georgia on Amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Design”. The draft amendments to the Law of Georgia “On Design”, prepared by Sakpatenti, will improve the mechanisms of legal protection of designs in Georgia and will ensure further approximation with the EU legislation in the field of design protection.

Mr. Soso Giorgadze Attended the Graduation Event of Batumi Kindergartens School-age Pupils
A large-scale graduation event of school-age pupils of municipal kindergartens was held at Batumi Central Stadium, which was attended by 2755 school-age children, their parents and teachers. The ceremony was organized by Batumi Kindergartens Union

Sakpatenti is a Supporter of the Bolnisi Protected Designation of Origin Wine Festival
Sakpatenti participated in the Bolnisi Protected Designation of Origin Wine Festival, which took place for the third time with the slogan “Bolnisi – the Town of Golden Wine”. At the festival, more than 60 wineries from different regions of Georgia were represented, including wines of appellations of origin of large producers, small and medium-sized enterprises and family-owned wineries. The festival aims to popularize wines marked with appellations of origin, demonstrate the advantages of wines having this status and raise public awareness about them.

Sakpatenti Participated in Entrepreneurship Education Conference
Ms. Salome Tsimakuridze, Head of Administration Department of National intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”, participated in the Entrepreneurship Education Conference Junior Achievement Georgia. The conference was held within the project “Building Back Better Through Social Entrepreneurship”, implemented with the support of the European Union.

The International Children’s Day was Celebrated at Sakpatenti
Pupils of Tbilisi Kindergarten №30 visited the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”. The event was implemented within the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Sakpatenti and the Kindergarten Management Agency of Tbilisi and was dedicated to the International Children’s Day.

European Patent Office Examiners Shared Practice on Virus Strains with Sakpatenti Staff
Examiners of the European Patent Office (EPO) conducted in hybrid format coaching for the staff members of the Chemistry-Medicine and Biology Division, Department of Inventions and New Varieties and Breeds, National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”. The coaching was aimed to share patent examination practices on inventions related to virus strains.

Sakpatenti Participated in the Employment Forum of the Georgian Technical University
The Georgian Technical University hosted an employment forum, where Sakpatenti representatives introduced to students the activity of the office, employment and internship opportunities

Mr. Soso Giorgadze Handed over Fairy Tales on Intellectual Property Topic to Tbilisi Kindergartens
A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti” and the Kindergarten Management Agency of Tbilisi. The cooperation is aimed to arouse interest in creative thinking among children, as well as to develop creative skills and stimulate perception of novelties.

Sakpatenti Participated in the International Advanced Certificate Training Program of the World Intellectual Property Organization
Ms. Mery Macharashvili, Head of the Department of Inventions and New Varieties and Breeds, National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”, participated in the International Advanced Certificate Training Program for Patent Examiners, held in Hyderabad, India. The event was organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Academy, the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks of India and the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM).
