With the Financial Support of the European Union, an Event is Held in Tbilisi, Aimed to Enhance the Patent Attorney System within the Reform Implemented by Sakpatenti
The European Union is implementing a new regional project EU4IP, serving to strengthen intellectual property rights in Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Within the Project, on November 27-28, the International Seminar “Support to the Development of the Patent Attorney Certification System in Georgia” in being held in Tbilisi. The seminar is organized by Sakpatenti and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), with the financial support of the European Union.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was Signed Between Sakpatenti and the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency
A Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between Sakpatenti and the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA). The Memorandum was signed by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and Mr. Irakli Lekvinadze, Chairman of the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency.
Chairman of Sakpatenti Awarded the Participants of the “Leonardo da Vinci” Competition
Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, participated in the event on occasion of the World Science Day, held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Within the event, the award ceremony of the winners of the “Leonardo da Vinci” Competition for Student Inventors and Researchers as well as young and merited scientists took place.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia and Kutaisi International University (KIU). The Memorandum is aimed to deepen cooperation between the parties, to implement joint scientific and cognitive projects which will facilitate protection of intellectual property in the country, raising of public awareness, encouraging of innovative and inventive activities and raising qualification of students and graduates.
The Traditional Annual Festival “Chacha” – 2024, Supported by Sakpatenti, was Held in Telavi
With the support of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia – “Sakpatenti”, the traditional annual Festival “Chacha” – 2024 was held in Telavi.
Farmers, peasants, small cellars and Chacha producing companies of all the eight municipalities of Kakheti Region participated in the Festival. The Festival is aimed by means of revealing the best samples of Chacha, to encourage and support them, as well as to popularize the traditional Georgia spirit “Chacha”, made from grape chacha (peels and pits of grapes), as a protected geographical indication and its wholesome properties.
Sakpatenti Hosts Delegation from China’s National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA)
For the first time, within the framework of mutual cooperation, a delegation from the National Intellectual Property Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNIPA) visited the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – Sakpatenti.

With the Support of Sakpatenti, Traditional Annual Wine Festival was Held in Gurjaani
With the support of the National Intellectual Property Centre of Georgia –“Sakpatenti”, the annual Wine Festival was organized in Gurjaani. The Festival, held for the eighth time this year, gathered in total 424 participants. The event took place in Akhtala Park and more than 30 thousand people participated in it.

Sakpatenti Intellectual Property Teaching and Training Center will be Located in the Former Building of the Parliament in Kutaisi
On the initiative of Prime Minister of Georgia Mr. Irakli Kobakhidze, the former building of the Parliament in Kutaisi will be transformed into a high-technology center with modern standards. The building will house various scientific-research and training laboratories, including Sakpatenti Intellectual Property Teaching and Training Center, which will combine all functions related to dissemination of knowledge in the field of intellectual property and will be equipped with modern, innovative technologies.
